How to Sell Surplus Boxes and Gaylords (and Get Paid)

To sell surplus boxes: count and photograph them, group by type and rough grade, request a valuation from a bulk buyer, and arrange pickup. Quality reusable loads earn payment; lower grades can still offset disposal through recycling pickup.

Answer first

To sell surplus boxes: count and photograph them, group by type and rough grade, request a valuation from a bulk buyer, and arrange pickup. Quality reusable loads earn payment; lower grades can still offset disposal through recycling pickup.

Step 1 — Inventory and photograph

Rough counts and a few clear photos per box type are enough. Show liners, corners and any damage honestly — accurate photos speed valuation.

Step 2 — Group by type and grade

Separate Gaylords from cartons, and single-wall from multi-wall. Even a rough A/B/C sort raises the value of the load.

Step 3 — Get a valuation

Send the counts and photos to a bulk buyer. A firm buy price should come back within a couple of business days, freight included.

Step 4 — Schedule pickup and get paid

For qualifying loads the buyer arranges — and often pays for — freight, with payment on verified receipt. Your disposal cost becomes revenue.
